Warm up

- Greet the whole class “Good afternoon students.” (Wave hand and smile).
- Greet the teacher “Good afternoon teacher.”

2. Write on board B-I-N-G-O again, then play the song Bingo and have Ss sing along and act it out. Invite three or four Ss to go to the board to sing and dance.

*Activity 1: Listen and point. Then say.
1.Present vocabulary:
- Ask Ss questions:
+ How many members are there in your family? (Trong gia đình con có bao nhiêu người?) + And who are they? (đó là những ai?) - Stick flash card and say the word in English while listening to student’s answer and write them on the board (mom, dad, sister, brother, grandpa, and grandma).

1.- Answer the teacher’s questions: mẹ con, bố con, em con, ông con và bà con ạ)

Materials: textbook, page 11, CD, chalkboard.
2. - Stick pictures of family members to the board next to each word. - Play the tape and get students to repeat after it in chorus and point to the family members.
- Get students to look at the board and repeat after the teacher. - Divide the class into 2 groups, group A will say the family members in English and group B will act the words out.
3. Let’s match:
- Take off the words and call Ss from two groups to the board to match with the flash cards, the faster is the winner.
*Activity 2: Listen and circle the correct word.
- Write sister/brother on the board. Say brother and demonstrate circling brother.
- Then play CD and ask the children to listen and circle the correct words. Then check answers orally.
2. - Students respond to the teacher individually or in chorus, and point to the books.

Steps:


Mode: T↔Ss, individual.
 Play game: Whisper
- Divide the class into two teams.
- Whisper the words of family members randomly and let the children guess, who say it right will get one star for the team, and then have Ss speak out the word.
- Congratulate the winner.
*Activity 3: Sing
2- Stick the pictures of grandpa, grandma, mom, dad on the board. Play the CD and have the children point to the correct family member.
- Play the CD again and have the children sing along, set some actions when singing.
- Ask the children to sing their own version of the song, change the family member and add their names.

Play game: Hands on head
- Divide Ss into 2 teams: boys and girls.
- Say family words and get the boys to repeat brother, dad and grandpa and the girls to repeat the female vocabulary words. For the words that they don’t repeat, the children have to put their hands on their head. Repeat many times and faster to make it fun.
